OFFICIAL RULES
THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED ONLY FOR RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES (EXCEPT PUERTO RICO) WHO ARE LOCATED IN THEIR STATES OF RESIDENCE AT TIME OF ENTRY.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. MANY WILL ENTER. FEW WILL WIN. VOID IN PUERTO RICO AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. TO ENTER: Beginning July 12, 2010 at 9:00:01 a.m. PST through August 19, 2010 at 11:59:59 p.m. PST (the “Sweepstakes Period”), submit your full name, address, and e-mail address as well as your video entry through the designated website located at www.blackgoldthinksyoucandance.com or mail a VHS or DVD addressed to Black Gold Thinks You Can Dance c/o Red Bull Records, 1740 Stewart Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404. (the “Entry” or “Entries”). If any of the information above is not included in the Entry, the Entry will be disqualified. Entries must be sent by you and received by Sponsor during the Sweepstakes Period. No facsimiles allowed. Sponsor is not responsible for malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer hardware or software; for lost, late, illegible, stolen, damaged, incomplete or misdirected Entries; or for any other technical problems related to website entries. Limit one Entry per person and/or email address. All Entries that are mailed in become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to residents of the United States (except Puerto Rico) who have Internet access as of July 12, 2010. Red Bull Records, Inc. and its affiliates and subsidiaries and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (“Sponsor and its agents”) and members of their immediate families and people living in the same household of each are not eligible.
3. WINNER SELECTION: Eligible Entries will be selected on or about August 19, 2010 from all eligible Entries received. One (1) winner will be selected. Winner will be selected by Sponsor or its designee, the judge of the sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the sweepstakes. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email. If winner is not available within 36 hours of first attempt by Sponsor to contact winner, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in the prize being forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
4. PRIZES: 1 winner will be awarded local dance classes for themselves and a friend. ARV: $500 USD. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. Many will enter. Few will win. Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes applicable to the acceptance and use of his/her prize. All prizes will be awarded. Any prize won by a minor will be awarded to his/her parent or legal guardian, who must sign all required documents. No prize substitutions or cash equivalents, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If prize becomes unavailable or cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to provide a cash payment or substitute a prize of comparable value. Prizes are non-transferable. Limit of one prize per person, household or address.
5. GENERAL: By entering, entrants agree to: (a) release the Sponsor and its agents from all liability, injuries, loss and/or damage of any kind arising from their participation in the sweepstakes and the acceptance, possession and use/misuse of any prize; (b) agree to be bound by the Official Rules, Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and the decisions of the judges; and (c) give his or her express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by email, mail or phone. By submitting an Entry, entrant consents to the use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation in all media worldwide, now known or hereafter developed (except if winner is a resident of TN or where otherwise prohibited by law). All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error, terrorism or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the sweepstakes and to select the winners based on the Entries received prior to the cancellation or termination. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. Sweepstakes is governed by laws of the state of California, with exclusive venue for any dispute in Los Angeles County, California.
6. REMOVAL FROM FUTURE MAILINGS: To have your name and address removed from Sponsor’s future sweepstakes and contest mailings, please send an e-mail to RBRinfo@redbullrecords.com with “REMOVE” in the subject line. Red Bull Records, Inc. will process your request immediately.
7. WINNERS’ LIST: For a list of winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope, postmarked by September 30, 2009 to be received by October 7, 2009 to: Black Gold Sweepstakes, Winners’ List, 1740 Stewart Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Verified winners’ names will be posted on BlackGoldThinksYouCanDance.com.
